Elaine's most memorable moments are with same gender audiences and she loves to lead a casual and frank conversation. Students crave intimate details about sex and relationships, but often find it intimidating to speak openly or ask questions when members of the opposite sex are present.
With an all-female group, women speak freely about alcohol, sex and sexual assault, and ask questions while participating in a lively and thoughtful discussion. Their issues and needs are different from the men's and they find this program to be quite meaningful.
Each year Elaine interviews hundreds of students and faculty at campuses across the country. She understands the issues that they are confronted with. Her approachable, non-judgemental demeanor facilitates a safe environment and an open and thoughtful dialogue.
